IT STARTED
IN THE CHAIR.
Before there was a TWST Bar, there was Angela Walker with a comb, a rattail and a line of people waiting their turn. TWST Bar started as a push to bring back the old-school salon feel. Clients and stylists were tired of long booking processes, so we built something for the community that’s simple, convenient and affordable. The kind of grown-up ease we were promised.
In June 2025, that energy got its own address in Downtown Silver Spring. The goal was simple: a walk-in salon where twists, locs and textured hair are the main event, never the exception.
