THE ROLE.
Floor Lead
Oversee the work of hairstylists and shampoo assistants, and uphold salon cleanliness, facility maintenance and equipment standards so every client experience is safe and professional. You'll also help hire and train new staff. Reports to the Head Stylist.
What you'll do
- Lead by example and by deed, making decisions that represent the business well.
- Make sure the whiteboard is complete by close of business daily.
- Check in with stylists throughout the day.
- Run the logistics for on-the-spot stylist scheduling shifts.
- Share findings from weekly progress reports with the TWST Bar Manager.
- Resolve client issues, balancing client and business interests.
- Attend Floor Lead meetings.
- Attend ongoing leadership training.
- Attend at least 80% of team-wide meetings.
YOU'RE A FIT
IF YOU...
- Have at least 2 years of styling experience
- Want to build a sense of community and belonging
- Bring excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Are punctual, great with clients and people, and embrace a challenge
- Can manage stylists and shampoo assistants
- Communicate clearly and connect easily with people
- Know your hair care products and services
- Are flexible with your schedule, including weekends and evenings
- Have customer service experience
- Are comfortable with Microsoft Office and salon management software
- Can multitask in a fast-paced environment
